It's been cold and rainy (I am NOT complaining...I love it!) the past few days and Justin is getting some "cabin fever" the past couple of days and with Mommy wanting to go into labor, it makes for some frustrating times around here. Justin decided to solve the problem.
I was on the phone and he casually goes over to the pantry and pulls out the food storage rice and proceeds to place it on the counter, pull a stool over to it by the Kitchen-Aid and get out a measuring cup. He climbs up on the stool, opens the rice, and starts pouring it back and forth. I kind of laughed. I should have stopped him, but he was so happy. He kept spilling it on the floor, and I'd sweep it up. then my friend suggested Pinto Beans as well. Justin has been happily playing with pinto beans and rice for over an HOUR!! He's never been this enthralled in something for so long. I took a quick, BAD pic with the computer, as Kevin has the camera. Yes, I'll have to sweep up rice and beans (he is sitting on a towel now) but hey...he is HAPPY as a clam!

Hey, whatever works, right? How are you doing? Any news on the baby front? Did you decide to go the c-section route? I can't wait to meet your new little one!
Looks like he had a ball! So when are you going to have this new little one?!
See? What did I tell you? They LOVE texture and measuring. Days and days of fun.
We are hoping to have the babe by Friday and if he doesn't come...c-section.
maybe i'll have to try that with Autumn...most of the time i'm such a lazy mom...for shame, for shame!
nice tip! i'll log that away for august.
